Ginger tea is so comforting to me, especially when I'm having digestive issues. This is also a great tea to drink when you're feeling under the weather. Using only 3 ingredients makes it easy to whip up fast.
Make sure the outside of your ginger root is smooth. You can test freshness by snapping off a piece. If it breaks off clean and you hear a snap, it's fresh.
Ginger Tea
4 - 1 inch pieces of peeled ginger root
4 cups water
4 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp honey
In a medium sauce pan, place the ginger root in the water and bring to a rapid boil. Boil for about 10-15 minutes. The longer you boil the ginger root, the stronger the tea will be. I love mine very strong!
After the tea boils to your desired strength, add the lemon juice and honey. Enjoy!
