Lemon Basil Pesto

A quick and easy pesto with a fantastic, full flavor!


2 cups packed fresh basil leaves
1/4 cup walnuts
1 garlic clove, peeled
1/2 tsp sea salt, plus more for seasoning
1/4 tsp black pepper, plus more for seasoning
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 cup grated Parmesan or Romano
squeeze of half a lemon


Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor, mixing 
until the pesto forms a smooth and thick consistency. 

Season with more salt and pepper, to taste.

Makes 1-1 1/2 cups
