The Perfect Little Sugar Cookie

These cookies are crisp and chewy at the same time. And although they are "sugar" cookies, they are not overly sweet. Have these perfect little cookies with a nice glass of cold milk!

The Perfect Little Sugar Cookie

1 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup + 2 tbsp butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon mixed, for decoration

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.

In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg first, then the vanilla.

Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just blended.

Roll the dough into walnut sized balls and roll the balls in the cinnamon sugar.

Place cookies 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet and flatten slightly.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
