This gnocchi is served with a yummy sage, butter, garlic and cheese sauce. It makes a delicious side dish to accompany chicken or fish. My hubby & I just loved how quickly this dish came together. Really restaurant quality! Just add some mixed veggies and a nice glass of white wine and you'll have complete meal. Enjoy!
Ingredients
1 - 24 ounce package potato gnocchi
1/4 cup butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp dried sage
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the gnocchi, and cook until they float to the surface, about 2 to 3 minutes, then drain.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the garlic, and cook until the garlic has softened and is beginning to turn golden brown, about 3 minutes. Stir in the sage and salt, mixing well, then add the cooked gnocchi. Mix together the 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese and the pepper. Add to the gnocchi and toss gently. Sprinkle with the remaining 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese & parsley. Serve immediately. Tastes so good!
Makes about 4 servings
