Black & White Beans

A simple, quick bean recipe for your weeknight arsenal. Bursting with flavor! This is sure to be a weekly request at your dinner table. Serve over hot rice and add a nice salad for a healthy, complete meal.





Black & White Beans

1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can great northern beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 tbsp olive oil
2/3 cup diced onion
3 garlic cloves, finely minced
2/3 cup chicken broth
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp coriander
1/4 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro
2 tbsp lime juice


In a saucepan on the stove, heat the olive oil to med-high heat.

Saute the onions for about 3 minutes or until they just start to become translucent.

Add garlic and saute abut 30 seconds more.

Add the beans, broth, and remaining seasonings and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Once done, remove from heat and add the lime juice. Delish!
