This is a quick but elegant meal that you can whip up in no time even during the week. It reminds you of something you would order at a fancy Italian restaurant and tastes so good! Make sure you use high quality large frozen ravioli for the best results. You just need to add a nice salad and some crusty garlic bread for a complete meal. Enjoy!
Sausage & Spinach Ravioli Bake
1 jar (24 ounces) tomato pasta sauce (I used Ragu flavored with meat)
4 ounces hot Italian sausage
1 package (28 ounces) frozen spinach & cheese-filled ravioli
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
4 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
sour cream
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray the bottom and sides of 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Cook the sausage in a large skillet until no longer pink. Add in the pasta sauce. Cook until just heated through.
Spread 1/3 of the pasta sauce in baking dish. Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in single layer over sauce. Add about a teaspoon of sour cream to each frozen ravioli. Top with 1/3 of the pasta sauce and 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers once, starting with ravioli. Finish by topping with cheddar cheese.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for 15 minutes longer or until bubbly and hot in center. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Delicious!
