I've said before that smoothies make a great healthy breakfast, or snack. Why? Because they are so quick and easy! We always keep cut up frozen fruit in our freezer which makes them so easy to prepare. I like mixing and matching the fruit to come up with different flavors. This is a tropical mix that I came up with that tastes so good! It uses frozen strawberries, peaches, honeydew melons, and bananas. Close your eyes as you sip it and you'll feel like you're on a tropical island:-)
Tasty Tropical Smoothie
1 1/2 cups combined frozen strawberries, peaches, & honeydew melon
1 1/2 frozen banana
1 cup milk (any kind)
2 heaping tbsp ground flax seed
2 tbsp brown sugar
Dump all ingredients into your blender and blend until nice and smooth.
Makes 2 servings
**Helpful Note**
For an "adult" version of this tropical smoothie, add 1/4 cup of coconut rum. So good!
