With the warmer weather approaching, you have to have some great drink recipes that will quench your thirst and refresh you. For me, there's nothing like lemon iced tea...strong, sweet, slightly tart, and refreshing. This recipe is so easy to make and so good! Try it today and bring a taste of summer into your home:-)
Lemon Iced Tea
4 family size flow tea bags (I use Luzianne brand)
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2/3 cup lemon juice
Add water to a large pot, cover and place over high heat. Once the water starts to boil, add the tea bags, then cover and remove heat.
Let the tea stand for 2 hours.
Add the brown sugar and lemon juice to a gallon pitcher. Remove the tea bags from the pot and add the tea to the pitcher. Stir well to combine. Refrigerate until very cold. Enjoy your tea over ice!
Makes 1 gallon (16 cups)
**Helpful Note**
If you can't find Luzianne family size tea bags in your area, just use 8 regular size black tea bags.

how do you think this will be without the brown sugar and just let folks use splenda instead/
ReplyDeleteI've never used Splenda, so I'm not sure if you would just substitute the same amount for the sugar. To test it, I would just start off with 3/4 cup of Splenda, taste it, and go from there. Thanks so much for your comment! Let me know how it turns out with the Splenda:-)
