Bakery Shop Style Chocolate Chip Cookies

My favorite cookie is chocolate chip. Simple. Classic. I love this basic, delicious recipe. I love the fact that you can make it in one bowl. And look at the size! I don't just like little cookies, I like the big, oversized bakery shop style cookies that you have to pay $1.50 for. Can you believe that price just for 1 cookie? Now with this recipe, you can impress your friends and make your own. And they taste even better than the bakery! But it's up to you if you charge for them or not:-)

Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups flour
3/4 tsp sea salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 360 degrees.

Using a mixer on medium high speed, cream butter and sugars together for about 3 minutes, until the mixture is nice and fluffy. Add in the eggs, one at a time, then the vanilla, and beat for an additional 2 minutes.

Turn your mixer to low speed, and add in the baking soda, baking powder, salt, and flour, mixing until well combined.

Now add in the chocolate chips, mixing by hand, until well combined.

Drop about 2 tablespoons of cookie dough onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.

Bake at 360 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to stay on the cookie sheet for an additional 2 minutes before removing. Enjoy!

Makes about 20 extra large cookies
